Stage Interview: This category is judged on the contestants’ overall presentation. Essential is her ability to communicate clearly, confidently and knowledgeably to the question asked.
The combined score will produce the overall interview score.

The traditionally-inspired attire must be created from materials that emphasize source reduction (reduce, re-use), recycling and buying recycled or renewable products. All accessories and head pieces must also use the same. Traditional pieces of fabrics such as Tapa, Siapo etc are allowed. There must be an emphasis on Creativity and Design in this original piece.
This Category is judged on the contestant’s outstanding presentation of a three (3) minute talent (not a chore or daily activity) creativity and performance to command and capture the attention of the audience.
This award is judged on contestants ability to present a complete 'traditional' Siva Sāmoa fa'atausala in whatever time frame she is given. These will include all elements of when a taupou concludes an event - taualuga and emphasise harmonus movements with the music and is not a rehearsed siva faitele.
This category is the contestant’s introduction of herself. The contestant will be judged on her poise and her elegance and eloquence. It is also based on her ability to command the attention of the audience; she should have clarity of speech as well as overall confidence in carrying out her introduction.
This Category will be voted by the contestants themselves on who they believe was the bubbliest, fun, caring and popular.

A professional photographer independently judges this award. The Miss Photogenic special Award winner is selected by the Official Photographer appointed by the Pageant Committee.
This award is determined via online votes. Profiles and photos are launched on the official Miss Sāmoa Victoria website.
